Laganas is the tourist hotspot of Zante, and boasts a five mile long sandy beach which stretches along to the resort of Kalamaki, which is a great family resort and is also a nesting site for loggerhead turtles. Laganas gets extremely busy during the high season and revellers take full advantage of the abundance of bars and clubs. For a quieter time on Zante head to Tsilivi, which is a bit quieter and is more family oriented but also has quite a few bars and clubs for the adults to enjoy. Alikes is a quiet and peaceful resort for those searching some tranquility. Zakynthos town is a lot quieter than the coastal resorts but is the best place for shopping for souvenirs and clothes.
